Oh, the first child. The one you coddle, sanitize everything for, pad every tiny corner they may possibly come in contact with, pack an infinite number of changes of clothing for, and generally just practice becoming a parent on. Here she is. Our sweet little princess Annie. We had no clue just how difficult and daunting this task of raising another human was going to be. We also had no clue how rewarding and precious this task would be either.
She has become such a young lady over the past (nearly) 6 years. She is smart, inventive and extremely sensitive. She is also showing qualities of being a leader even though she is sometimes shy. Perhaps she will lead with quiet dignity. She looks and acts a lot like me but I like to say that she is what I always wanted to be. Outgoing, quirky, fun and witty.
In three days we will meet our third baby but she will always be our baby, too, no matter how many come after her.
