Work Shower and The things people will say when you're pregnant

Tuesday was my work shower at Tea Leaves and Thyme. My favorite restaurant. The girls came to have tea with me and we all had such fun eating dainty finger sandwiches and acting girly. I got some really cute things for Jack and they all went in together to get us the car seat. We LOVE it!!!! I am so relieved to have it and now we can relax and just wait for Jack to get here. Thanks girls!! We had a great time!
Now. I've been saving these comments up especially for blogging purposes. They are just too good not to share. It is amazing what people feel at liberty to say to you as you are expanding on a regular basis. My comments are in parenthesis.
1.{From someone I work with} Wow. Your a LOT bigger than the last time I saw you. (Really? That was 6 days ago.)
2. {From a nine year old boy} Hey!! Are you pregnant? (Yes, I am.) He proceeds to stare at me. CREEPY
3. {A mom on a public playground} Excuse me. My daughter (about 6 yrs. old) wants to know what you're having. (I'm having a boy) She SCREAMS - MADDIE!!! She's having a boy!!! Then she looks at me and says "She's just really interested in that sort of thing right now."
AND THE WINNER IS.........................................................................................................................
4. {A mom to one of our girls Sunday School Teachers} Teacher is discussing the new pregnancy of the other mom and says, "Deidre, you're due in June, right? I say, "Yes". Said mother says, "Oh. I don't get THAT big!" (Um, what?)
I'm sure there are more that I've forgotten but these are my favorites.

You look great in all these pictures! I, too, am amazed at what people say when you are pregnant! Those are some interesting comments!!! We missed you last night. But don't worry, Mark looked to have enough fun for all and stayed until the last seconds...all for the sake of Sunday School, I am sure. haha

Deidre, you amaze every day! Where did you get your writing talent from? I know it wasn't from me since my high school english teacher told me I wrote like I talked and I KNOW she didn't meant that in a good way!! You really should write children books or something like that. I am getting so excited to meet Jack and see Annie and Ella and you and Mark. I love you all and miss you!
