Well, here we are. Only one month to go until we meet baby Jack. The room is ready but for the pink rocking chair which will soon be covered in a sage green slipcover that should arrive any day now. I still need to pack my suitcase but Jack's is ready to go. Of course, everything has his name on it and Mark thinks I am a lunatic but I'm okay with that. I am procrastinating because I have kind of forgotten what all to bring with me to the hospital. I always bring too much and feel silly so I want to condense this time. I usually walk in looking like we are ready for a two week getaway to Italy. Not this time! I'm determined to only bring the necessities (like monagrammed burp cloths).
Annie had her children's choir musical last night called Little Love Notes. They all did such a great job and looked like they had a good time hamming it up on that huge stage. The pictures didn't come out very good due to poor lighting and poor seating arrangements (we got to the sanctuary too late to get really good seats - shocker). Annie has her Awana sparks awards night this Wednesday and that should complete all of our activites for the school year. The last day of Math class is tomorrow and the last day of regular class is Wednesday. They are having a field trip to the park to play field day games and have a picnic. She is so excited about a "real" field trip. So funny considering they are walking to the park behind the church. We still had to sign a permission slip though so maybe it's a bigger deal than I thought.
Nothing much more to report from our house. Mark is working late tonight so I'm glad I was called off last night. Must have brain cells functioning to be home alone with two kids until 9pm. I hope everyone has a great Monday.
