The Beautiful Outdoors

I am writing this from my backyard with my new WiFi internet that Mark finally got to work. (When all else fails, call the company.) The girls have had a busy week attending parties at school and church and I have been preoccupied with the usual nesting that occurs this late in pregnancy. I thought that today they deserved to do whatever made them happy - within reason of course. So here we are in the backyard. We have built one big sandcastle and gotten as dirty as possible for these two girls, blown bubbles, swung on the swing set half-naked (not me, of course) and played sidewalk chalk. Even the dog has had a good time with the tennis ball and the frisbee. It is so comfortable out here-just the right temperature. I can't remember an actual springtime in my life. It seems to always go from freezing to blistering.

Annie is so proud of the sand castle we all made. I know she would love the beach if we ever go. As for the picture of Ella, those of you that know her know it needs no explanation. For those of you that don't, she spilled bubbles on her dress and couldn't stand to be wet. Yes, that is a diaper she is wearing. Yes, I am embarrassed that she is still wearing a diaper. Yes, it is true that she doesn't care in the least that she is wearing one. And no, she will not go to kindergarten wearing a diaper. So for now we are just taking life easy and enjoying the weather and the feel of the breeze on our skin -some of us more than others. :)

I'm shocked that you own a sandbox. The only place I want the girls in sand is at the beach! If we did have one I'd have to hose them down before they walked in the house. :)
