I am such a blog slacker lately. Life is happening so quickly that I just haven't had the time to catch up. However, today is a special day. I met this little red-headed girl when we were just 4 years old. We played together, had slumber partiestogether, and giggled non-stop, I'm sure. She was my very first best friend and today is her birthday. I have so many fun memories of getting out of school early to go to the state fair and the circus and silly things like looking at a dead bird on the playground or eating honeysuckle along the back fence at our elementary school. There were also other interesting experiences such as the time one of us stuck a paperclip in an outlet and shorted out all the lights at the day care center. I'm not telling which one. Shelley, I hope you have a wonderful day and please know that I will always treasure your friendship. Come see me soon! (And no comments about that other kid in the pictures that is dressed like a goober.)
