Fall has officially arrived!!! Anyone who knows me at all can attest to the fact that I will decorate at least 1 or 2 weeks early. This is my adult way to handle holidays as opposed to my pre-adult way which was to decorate 1 or 2 months ahead of time. I have made great progress over the years.
Anyway, we love fall around here. Apple pickin', cookie bakin', football watchin', the works. We tried a new apple orchard this year that was just a tad further than our usual place. Our reward was great. Huge orchard, pick enough to fill the bag you purchased and eat as many as your stomach will hold, beautiful mountain views, trees loaded with apples and many types to choose from. The girls had a ball. We took a picnic lunch and enjoyed the overcast cooler day. We met Uncle Tim, Aunt Mel, Davis and Claire (who had spent the night camping in the mountains) in the orchard's store and had fried apple pies and apple cider donuts. Donuts were fantabulous!!!
We are looking forward to the pumpkin patch in October.
Memory verse update: It has been awhile since I have posted the verses Annie has been learning. Since there are so many I will just write out a few.
Now we ask you, brothers, to respect who work hard among you, who are over you in the Lord, and who admonish you. 1 Peter 2:17 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1 (This has become one of my favorite verses. This is the foundation of the Gospel. Once you believe this verse then everything else makes sense. ) And Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6
Also, this week she is learning the books of the New Testament.
Ella is working on her alphabet. She is doing well and is even pointing out letters while we are out and about.

Hey guys! It looks like you all had a great time picking apples. I also like the pictures of Annie's new hair cut and Ella's dress. Thanks for sending the pictures. I love seeing what is going on since I can not be there. As always, I sure miss you all and hope to see you soon. Love you!!
